a roadside find.

a while ago, i picked up this little gem on the side of the road. it was destined for the rubbish tip but i just couldn't go past it...

solid natural wood kitchen cupboard set with four 'burners' and a sink hole. looking a little sad and in need of love.

it took me a little while to get myself together but once i got it cleaned up, sanded back and started on the painting, it came together really quickly!
it might have been helped along by that fact my mum popped a few coats on while we were holidaying in new zealand...

the same kitchen set, painted white with blue trim and silver sink features. new knobs on the front of the burners and cupboards too. being played with by an adorable two year old.

it was super well received by our nephew!
once he realised what it was, and that it was his to play with, it was hard to get him away from it!

hopefully he keeps loving it for many years to come!

That was a most excellent find. I've never known a child not to like a play kitchen. Great job!
