this week...

last week, i wanted to start on some painting and get some long promised sewing done, and i managed to get both done!
the top drawer of the kitchen drawers is all done and the second drawer even has a coat too!

the priority this week is more painting obviously! one down, four to go!







i also have to get some housework done, i've been doing the bare minimum for a few weeks and it's all starting to build up... floors need vacuuming and mopping, there's dust covering almost every surface and the washing basket is full! and you don't want to know about the toilet...
so yep, lots of houseworking to be done!

i also have not one, but two cushion covers on the go. hopefully i can make some headway on both of them this week :D

late again oops, let's pretend it's monday. ok, let's not do that... mondays are generally horrible right?

last week, i wanted to get a couple of things done. and i actually managed it!

degrees are mounted and framed, now i just need to hang them on the wall...


door snake is stuffed and finished and keeping the drafts outside where they belong.




and as for this week?
i still need to get that bit of sewing done that i've been promising a friend...
AND i'm starting on one of my september goals of getting my kitchen drawers painted.



i've spent a bit of time this morning stripping out the layers of contact and scraping away years of dust, dirt and grime. quite gross but i can't wait to get painting!

well i'm a little bit late this week, but i'm getting there eventually ha ha!
this week i'm hoping to get a few half started projects finished...


framing bb and my graduation certificates to go on the wall...



finishing off my door snake. it's almost done, i ran out of stuffing just before it was all stuffed!
oh and the knitting, well that's the start of a much promised cushion!


and speaking of much promised, i promised i'd whip something up for a lovely friend quite a while ago. must get to that...

this week...

i'm recovering after a weekend away (more about that tomorrow...)



i'm doing lots of washing.
i'm making lots of spring cleaning type lists for both the inside of the house AND the outside. now if i only had the motivation to get some of them done...
i'm planning out my next crafty move now that i'm done with the baby blanket (more about that later too...)
i'm also working on framing some pictures for my feature wall idea for over our bed.
i'm organising a little crochet how-to afternoon, after promising lots of people lessons for a while...
i'm also vaccuuming and mopping the floors (excitement PLUS, i know! but if you knew just how desperately it needed doing...)

and most excitedly, i'm writing lots of blog posts, commenting on lots of blog posts, and just generally flitting about on my bran new laptop!



an amazing birthday present from my even more amazing boyfriend!
my old one was getting beyond ridiculous, i had to copy and paste a 'g' whenever i had to use one. very annoying but has made me appreciate my brand new shiny one alllllll the more. i've practically been using it wearing white gloves!

this week...

i'm playing catch up... after 11 days straight working, i'm running a little behind (even in blog posts as it would seem) so this week, i'm playing catch up.

i'm catching up on the housework. washing, dishes, ironing, it never stops piling up!

i'm making plans to catch up with friends and family, ncb is back on tomorrow night AND my mum is coming over for lunch!

i'm catching up on my daily row completion goals for the flood relief blankie.


i have a goal of 4 rows a day to get it to lea before winter as promised. at the moment i'm about 16 behind. eep!

i'm catching up on my cooking! i've been a bit slack with the home cooking efforts, but a few days off work and relaxing at home should get me back into line.

i'm catching up on my reading.



i picked these two up at finders keepers on the weekend and i'm very excited to get stuck into them!

and last of all, i'm catching up on breathing, relaxing and taking some time for myself. major de-stressing happening this week.

this week...

this week i've set myself a pretty big task. actually i'm a bit scared to show you, it's a little horrifying to be honest...
this, is my oven. i know, it is a little dirty, the hot plate needs a clean and well, let's not look at the floor. but that's not the horrifying part...



the horrifying part is what lies BEHIND the oven. it looked like this behind the oven before we even moved in.



i kid you not. i have lived with this little patch of gross for nearly 2 years. BUT i have a secret up my sleeve. you see the other day, i realised (yes it took me nearly 2 years) that the oven isn't actually attached to the wall, well there's a power cord but that's about it!
so my super disgusting goal for this week, is to pull out the oven as far as it will go, and give the alcove the intense scrubbing that it so desperately needs. all in time for the real estate inspection on thursday morning, well we'll see about that...
