back to uni.

my dabbling has all but ceased...
long hours at uni and long times travelling on the train from my new house usually means i'm too tired to make dinner, let alone create something pretty or try something new.
we'll see how it goes though, i've only just finished first week and my homework load doesn't seem too big.
i'm hoping to start my fourth beanie tonight while i watch some sunday night tv :D
still haven't sewn up the knitted one i just finished but it's all cast off now.
should make for an interestingly shaped beanie if nothing else.

i'm so excited because over the last couple of days, some seeds that i planted about a month ago sprouted. they tend to take a long time to sprout and i never know if they're actually going to, hence the excitement over these little green threads of life.
can't wait for them to grow up into fully grown rosemary and strawberry plants.
i'm especially excited because it's been raining down bucketloads. all my plants are getting lots of water and there's nothing more comforting than falling asleep to the rain on the roof. apparently the rain put the last of the bushfires out last night, so it's good all round!

Knitting fiesta.

After having a fair bit of luck with the crocheting a couple of weeks ago, I decided to have a crack at knitting again. It had been about a year. Had to look up purl on youtube coz I kept stuffing it up and my boyfriend sat on my needles and broke the one with all the stitches on it and after starting again I've gotten this far...

I'm about to start decreasing so it will be head shaped when i sew it up. Will put a new photo up when it's done.
I think I'll knit the next one too, but instead of greens it'll be pinks and whites. I'll put a photo of the one up too.
