100 days of creativity - week 7.

days 43-49 saw me finish up a beanie (which i realise, i still haven't gifted to it's intended owner, oops!), and start another project (this one) and work on it while watching a little webinar by yarnhaus...



after getting through the first ball of yarn for my cowl, i also finished up the cutest little pair of shoes (available to buy here!) and started ANOTHER big project (oops!)

100 days of creativity - week 6.

day 36-42 saw me mending a pair of bb's pants, taking a double knitting class, working on a secret crochet project...



finishing my silver swatch (and knitting to gauge, YAHOO!), putting a little more length on the alpaca beanie aaaaaand finishing up my double knitted swatch.
it's such a cool technique and i can't wait to try it in a project!

100 days of creativity - week 5.

days 29-35 saw me working on that little green beanie a bit more, and finishing it! as well as making a start on a new crochet project for work, a little more swatching, and lots of work on the baby blanket...



as well as a finish on the baby blanket, in this photo, there was still lots of ends to be sewn in, but they're all done now. the blankie has also had a block, and is all packaged up ready to be delivered to a sweet little newborn.
i also made a start on another beanie... not for the beanie festival this time, but as a birthday/thank you gift for a friend.

100 days of creativity - week 4

days 22-28 saw me finishing off a swatch or two, and getting in a bit of knitting on the green beanie and purple baby blanket that i've been working on...



i really need to get moving on that baby blanket as the baby that i planned it for has already been born. power knitting needed!

what are you creating at the moment? any cute squishy babies in your world at the moment?

100 days of creativity - week 3.

days 15-21 saw me getting in some colouring (you can too here), as well as knitting a bit more on the purple baby blankie i started last week, and working on a couple of beanies.



ooh there was also a little bit of swatching for a new product that we started stocking in the yarn shop that i work now.
one of the big changes i anticipated happening this year was doing a couple of days work a week in a yarn shop! it is really just as excellent as it sounds. talking about yarn and knitting and crochet all day is an absolute dream.

once again, it's the start of another month, and once again, i'm not quite dealing with just how quickly the past month went. april is over? really?
the super quick passing of time might have had something to do with me not getting my start-of-the-month post done until midway through the month... oh well!

my goals for april were pretty simple, keep up with the 100 days project on instagram (there's a wrap up of week 1 here, and week two here) and get bb and my birth certificates sorted. done and DONE! woohoo!



and now for may?
well i'd like to keep up with the 100 days project, today is day 27 so there'll be a photo every day with a little bit of creativity for the month.
as well as actually APPLYING for my passport, now that every thing is done. fingers crossed it goes through without a hitch.
there's also some wedding invitations that need designing, as well as some catering and other things that need to be locked in. getting things done!

100 days of creativity - week 2.

week two was a little slow going up onto instagram as the shorter days are definitely impeding on my photo taking time. i did get there eventually though ha ha!



a finish up of the beanie i started last week, as well as a start to a swatch for work, and a baby blankie with some yarns i was gifted as part of a yarn swap. ooh and there was a little fixing of my crocheted blankie that was developing a few holes after being on the couch for the last couple of years. and also a little end weaving on some wash cloths that my mum got to knitting.
i'm finding it quite hard to take interesting and different photos of my projects each day, so i think i'll keep juggling projects for the 100 days, so i don't bore everyone to tears...

100 days of creativity - week 1.

as i mentioned in my april post, i've decided to play along with #the100dayproject, though not officially on the website... i didn't realise there WAS a website sign up until it was too late TO sign up. oh well!
i'll be playing along on instagram though, and sharing week by week on this here blog too.

being a day by day challenge, there's lots of little snippets that add up to a whole project at a later stage...



a start and finish to a wee little green beanie, a start and finish to a teeny red sock as well as a start to a second to make a pair. oh and the start of an additional adult sized beanie, to send off to the beanie festival next month.

with one week down, i feel like i'm making a start on the list i shared back here and i'm staying super motivated.
hopefully it lasts!
