A girl I used to work with had a baby Saturday so I made her some baby mittens. They didn't take me long at all, well they wouldn't have if I didn't fail so much at following patterns.
They still need some ribbon to make them pretty, oh and the ends sewn in.
I've also started making some beanies for the Alice Springs beanie festival. I managed to crochet one in about 24 hours which is probably my best crochet effort yet. It's not quite finished yet because it doesn't fit my head so it's not likely to fit anyone elses.
I went into spotlight and they had a heap of wool on clearance so I bought about $10 worth and should be able to make a couple by next week.
The black one is still a bit misshapen but the blue and grey one is pretty good. They're both more beret then beanie too, oh well.
